About

John Macomber

I’m a University instructor of Information Literacy & Liberal Arts and an Information Science Technologist.

I was born in Northern California, Modesto, CA, and spent most of my growing up in Southern California, San Bernardino, CA. In 2006, I earned my B.A. in History from Cal State San Bernardino, and in 2012, my Master’s in Information Science from San Jose State University. I worked for four years in public customer service before my academic career starting in 2012, as an adjunct library faculty member of Victor Valley Community College. As a library faculty member at Victor Valley College, I was teaching academic research orientation courses. I got my first real teaching assignment in the Fall of 2013, with Brandman University, teaching Liberal Arts, which opened the world of teaching.

My family is my pride and joy. I am a single parent to my three kids: Cheyenne, Hannah, and Patrick.

Having taught at the university level for the last ten years, I am currently looking for new opportunities to expand my teaching skills related to my interests in Liberal Arts, English, AI & Emerging Technologies, Adult Education, and Leadership.

I hope you enjoy the website, please let me know if you have any questions.
